It looks like a fine, soft, organdy mesh, but is actually made out of wire. It is tubular, so you can thread ribbon or beads through it. The ends compress so you can actually use it as a base for jewellery to thread beads or fancy buttons onto it. It can be pulled out to make a flat ribbon approx. 3 cm. wide, or pull it out unevenly to achieve a wavy band. If you do not like the effect, pull both ends and it reverts to its original size and shape. It is a marvellous, creative product with applications across a whole range of crafts.
