Overseas Customers

We send our ribbons around the world. All goods are sent Airmail Insured unless otherwise requested. Postage will be charged at cost and you will be contacted for the additional payment before dispatch.

We accept credit cards via PayPal. If you prefer, we can accept payment in Sterling drawn on a British bank in which case we will send you a pro forma invoice on receipt of your order. Because of the weight of books and the very high postage costs, we regret that we can only ship books to a UK address.

Ribbon Designs are unable to guarantee the sale and delivery of certain goods outside of the UK. Therefore, any additional charges or import duties, which may be levied over and above our normal costs, once the goods arrive at your country of destination, must be your responsibility.


Please note that we do not process orders on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays. However, if you require goods by a specific date, please notify us at the time of placing the order, and we will do our utmost to get it to you on time. If the goods are not in stock, we will advise you and give you the option to cancel the order. If paying by cheque, please be aware that the goods are only dispatched after the cheque has been cleared. Delivery on some items can take up to 28 days.


No returns are accepted for ribbons cut to order or for goods we order in especially for you, unless faulty.

We cannot accept returns on copyrighted materials such as books.

Every effort has been made to give as accurate representation as possible of our goods and products, but we cannot guarantee that colours won’t vary dependent on the equipment on which they are viewed. As such Ribbons Designs cannot be held responsible for colour variations and are always ready to supply colour samples if required. Variations in dye lot colours are not considered faults and the responsibility for checking the colour fastness and suitability of our ribbons is entirely the customers.

You must notify us within 7 days from the date the goods were delivered, of any shortages, defects in the goods or any other complaint you have in respect of them. No returned merchandise will be accepted without prior authorization. To discuss a refund or exchange, please call us on 01303 812486 or e-mail us at: sales@ribbondesigns.co.uk, after which we will issue a returns number, which should be clearly marked on the parcel you are returning.

Ribbon Designs cannot accept responsibility for the transit of goods being returned to us. When returning items please obtain proof of posting. We recommend Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery. Items are returned at your expense, unless the goods are faulty, in which case we will refund the postage costs to you. We are able to issue refunds providing the goods are returned in a saleable condition. All refunds are settled via the original method used to pay for the goods. Please note this does not affect your statutory rights.
